The dive industry benchmark for rapid certification processing is help by PADI, which processes and mails standard certifications in one business. Within a few weeks, however, PADI will better its own unrivaled processing speed.
Working with Scantron, a leading provider of data management software, PADI redesigned its certification processing envelope for improved speed and accuracy.
"The form changes allow us to scan the envelopes with a Panasonic 905C scanner,” explains Denise Warner, PADI America's manager of certification, “This lets us simultaneously read both sides of up to 5000 documents per hour.”
Warner goes on to explain that this customer service enhancement not only reduces certification processing time, but does so without raising costs and prices. PADI has issued more than 12 million certifications since it introduced the Positive Identification Card in 1968. For more information, visit www.padi.com.
