About You, "The Professional"...
How I was introduced to the professional diving industry:
I was mentored by Larry Grayson, currently a Course Director in Oahu, Hawaii. He was my Open Water instructor and his love of diving, and committment to quality instruction, inspired me to humbly try to follow in his foot steps.
What I like best about my job:
Being able to share the fantastic slice of Nature found in the Gulf of Mexico with the great folks that make Dr Dive a success. I couldn't do this without the loyal and wonderful customers that go with me to the Gulf.
Words of wisdom for those starting their career in the diving industry:
I often have folks say, "I am looking forward to the day I can work in the dive industry". I always say "Listen to what you are saying; you want to 'work' in the dive industry". It is a great life, but it is work. Be prepared to give your best, and the industry will give its best back to you.
Best way to keep a competitive edge:
Do your best, every time. Take care of the customer. Be honest in every transaction.
Biggest change I have seen in the professional diving industry since I started:
A greater demand for quality customer service. It is a luxury sport, and people are more willing to demand value for their money.
