About Duggan Diving Enterprises, Inc.:
We are the premier Technical Dive Center in the San Antonio area. We are primarily a family run business. We are deeply involved in Adaptive Diving for wounded warriors that are patients at the Center For the Intrepid here in San Antonio.
To offer quality training, equipment and service to our customers. The BBB selected shop for years here in San Antonio.
About You, "The Professional"...
How I was introduced to the professional diving industry:
Tried it on own in 1957 and then dove in military. Became PADI instructor in 1969 and NAUI instructor in 1970. Controlled all dive training on Okinawa Japan from 1969-1971.
What I like best about my job:
Travel and meeting new people.
Words of wisdom for those starting their career in the diving industry:
Do it because you love it and have reasonable financial expectations.
Best way to keep a competitive edge:
Give great service and customers stay with you.
Biggest change I have seen in the professional diving industry since I started:
Use of safety equipment such as SPG, alternate air source and computers.
Tom Curry (deceased) and Evan Nelson Old divers from the early 60's.
About You, "The Person"...
Something you'd find on my bucket list:
Frequent returns to Indonesia.
What I am most proud of:
The Adaptive Diver Program I set up at Brooks Army Medical Center.
How I like to spend my free time:
Reading and sometimes writing. Enjoying my great grandkids.
