About You and Dive Center Marketing Consultants...

My name:
John Lockette

Years in business:
1 year

About Dive Center Marketing Consultants:
We are marketing specialists who focus entirely and exclusively on dive centers. We combine well-established principles of marketing with an in-depth understanding of the dive center business in order to provide personalized, customized business marketing solutions to dive center owners and managers based on the needs and requirements of their individual circumstances.

Goal(s) for 2013:
Our primary goal for 2013 is to increase our outreach to potential clients and expand our client base.

About You, "The Professional"...

What I find most rewarding about my job:
I am a creative problem-solver by nature, so the most rewarding aspect of what I do is helping clients develop solutions that address their marketing challenges and ultimately increase business.

What I am most proud of (professionally):
I am most proud of quadrupling one of my clients revenues over a period of four years.

Greatest piece of business advice I ever received:
If you are doing something you are truly passionate about, it won't feel like work!

Where I see myself and/or business in 5 years:
Through my business, I would like to become a force for buidling a broad-based perception of scuba diving as an adventurous, exciting, and safe pursuit for anyone.

About You, "The Person"...

Favorite place to dive:
Thus far, Cozumel is my favorite dive destination.

Most memorable dive experience:
One of my most memorable dive experiences was diving with dolphins in the Bahamas.

Favorite quote:
SCUBA diving is sensual. To breathe underwater is one of the most fascinating and peculiar sensations imaginable. Breathing becomes a rhythmic melody of inhalations and exhalations. The cracks and pops of fish and crustaceans harmonize with the rhythmic chiming of the bubbles as you exhale. Soon, lungs act as bellows, controlling your buoyancy as you achieve weightlessness. And, as in your dreams, you are flying. Combine these otherworldly stimuli and you surrender completely to the sanctuary of the underwater world. --Tec Clark, forward, Karen Berger’s Scuba Diving
