About You, "The Professional"...
What I find most rewarding about my job:
I love working with and teaching kids. I enjoy traveling with and diving with families.
What I am most proud of (professionally):
Contributing to 5,000 certified adults and kids. Enriching their lives and sharing my love for the underwater world. I am proud of the difference we have made with regard to global issues effecting our oceans.
Greatest piece of business advice I ever received:
When making a decision, ask myself, if its going to be rewarding and fun. If the answer is yes then go for it. If the answer is no, then make a different choice.
Where I see myself and/or business in 5 years:
Family Dive Adventures and Kids Sea Camp are growing every year with more families and more kids enjoying the ocean and that has made us be more, do more and offer more. Life is good. We are now specializing in kids scuba gear, lights and photography equipment.
About You, "The Person"...
Favorite place to dive:
All the ones I have personally chosen to host Kids Sea Camp dive events. Blue Corner Palau, Manta Reef Yap, Light house reef Grand Cayman, Buddy Dive house reef Bonaire, Galapagos all over, Fiji Castaway Island, Utila, the sea mounts, Belize, Blue hole, Florida with Amy Slate Amoray, and Spenser too on the critter dive, with Neal Watson in the Bahamas, Little Cayman bloody bay wall. There are just so many great places.
Most memorable dive experience:
The Kittiwake in Grand Cayman with Divetech and diving with Robbie and Jen my two kids and my husband as a family. Its such a beautiful light filled wreck and very easy for the kids to do. I loved how clear it was perfect for taking photos. I enjoyed then and still do today diving with my kids and my husband as a family. Its a really wonderful feeling to share what I love so very much.
Give them a week they will remember forever.
Something people would be surprised to learn about me:
I get sea sick. I have almost 5,000 dives, and its what I do, but since I was pregnant with my son Robbie, I have gotten sea sick on liveaboards, or day boats if its rough. I grew up on the sea, so it was not an easy thing to accept.
