About the DEMA Rewards Program
DEMA is excited to announce its new rewards program that will reward Members for their engagement with the Association and other DEMA Members, beginning in 2023.
The new “DEMA Rewards” program makes it even more beneficial to be a DEMA Member with rewards that can be exchanged for future Membership discounts, merchandise, and even high-visibility sponsorships. The DEMA Board of Directors recognizes the value
of “engagement” and the need to help Members connect with one another through the Association. Under the DEMA Rewards Program, DEMA Members can participate in the Association’s programs and earn rewards points which can be exchanged for valuable assets.
How Can My Business Participate in the DEMA Rewards Program?
There are four steps:
- Renew your Membership with (or join) DEMA
- Participate in the available professional opportunities!
- Earn points for engagement and participation
- Redeem the points to benefit your business
1. Membership
To participate in the DEMA Rewards Program your company must be a current DEMA Member. Renew your DEMA Membership for the calendar/Membership year or become a DEMA Member at the category
and level appropriate to your business. The rewards period is for the same calendar year and membership level as the points were earned, until June 30 of the following calendar year.

2. Participate in DEMA’s Professional Opportunities
Participate in any of DEMA’s professional opportunities available as a volunteer, and as a business member. This includes all the items listed below, such as serving on committees, downloading, and using industry resources, participating in DEMA’s research,
helping DEMA advocate for the diving industry, exhibiting, or attending DEMA Show, and so much more! For each activity you can earn DEMA Rewards Points.
DEMA Rewards points are company-based. Any employee or individual appearing in DEMA’s database for your DEMA Member Company can help earn reward points. Your DEMA voting delegate can provide the employee/owner’s name, contact information (email/phone) and DEMA will be able to link activities to the Member record.
BONUS: Providing contact information for a second employee/owner earns DEMA Reward points!

Points can be accumulated from one year to the next, but Rewards points are awarded on a first-in, first-out basis for each of the activities listed. Points earned in the first year must be redeemed by June 30th of the following year. Point-to-US-Dollar
conversion is based on the membership level at the time the points were earned. As Rewards points are redeemed, the total will be reduced starting with the first points earned. Members must earn a minimum of 20 rewards points before points can be
converted to the equivalent of dollar value and redeemed.
4. Redeeming DEMA Rewards Points
Once your company earns a minimum of 20 DEMA Rewards Points, you can begin to redeem them. Points have no “real” cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, but can be redeemed for membership, services, and products at the following points-to-US-dollars
conversion rate, based on your company’s membership level when the points were earned:
- Platinum Level – 5 US Dollars per Reward Point
- Gold Level – 3 US Dollars per Reward Point
- Silver Level - 1 US Dollar per Reward Point
With 100 points available, the maximum redeemable DEMA Rewards value in a calendar/Membership year is $500 US for Platinum Members, $300 US for Gold Members, and $100 US for Silver Members. The points can only be redeemed with DEMA, have no real cash
value, and cannot be transferred.
DEMA Rewards points must be redeemed by June 30 of the following calendar year (company must be a current member at the time of redemption). After June 30th of the following calendar year the Rewards Points expire.
Eligible Items: Once the minimum of 20 Rewards points has been reached, DEMA Rewards Points can be redeemed for the following items. The value available for the Member to use is dependent on the Membership level when Rewards are earned, and the
number of Rewards points accumulated.
