previously announced, DEMA Show 2020 will not take place this November in New Orleans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the industry will not be able to convene for a face-to-face DEMA Show, DEMA is pleased to announce details for an exciting new virtual event that will provide the industry with the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow: DEMA Show Online. DEMA Show Online will feature both an on-going virtual education series and a four-day virtual trade show and vendor networking event.

Kicking off on September 15, 2020 and continuing into November, DEMA Show Online’s education series will offer new online education opportunities weekly to registrants. Included will be countless options for on-demand sessions, LIVE education, “office hours” with speakers, DEMA-sponsored sessions, Exhibitor-sponsored sessions, and more.

From November 17-20, 2020, DEMA Show Online will host a four-day virtual trade show and vendor networking event. This four-day virtual event will feature an opening keynote speaker, opportunities to network with exhibitors, DEMA-sponsored education sessions, exhibitor-sponsored education sessions, access to the New Product Showcase, the 2020 DEMA Member Meeting & Update, 2020 Diving Community Champion Presentation, Wave Maker Award Presentation, and much more.

A complete schedule and registration options will be posted shortly. Make sure you are subscribed to DEMA’s weekly DEMAIL, so you don’t miss the announcement!

Why change the dates??? Many exhibitors have travel plans made for directly after DEMA. I would have been interested in having a virtual booth, but will be escorting a trip in Dominica on the dates for the virtual show. This trip was planned 2 years ago

Hi Peter. We are so glad to hear you are looking forward to DEMA Show Online! In addition to LIVE educational opportunities, there will also be countless on-demand sessions for those who are unable to tune in LIVE. No matter the time-zone, registrants will have access to many valuable sessions and resources. We look forward to having you join us and appreciate your support!

Cancelling New Orleans was 100% the correct decision. The Virtual Online DEMA show is a great idea. The industry needs to work together in order to ensure a bounce back. An online education that can help the industry improve our effectiveness, particularly in the area of getting people back into the water will be an important part of how well the industry survives this pandemic. I am from Sydney, so your office hours are 2 am in the morning here, but I certainly will be attending as much of the virtual show as I possibly can. Thanks a heap Peter L

Hi Andy. We apologize for the inconvenience of timing. Canceling the in-person Show was a difficult decision for the Board to make, but given the global pandemic, it was determined to be in the best interest for the safety & financial well-being of DEMA attendees and exhibitors. Wanting to still provide the industry with support & opportunities to connect during these challenging times, we have developed DEMA Show Online as quickly as possible to provide all stakeholders with opportunities to connect, learn, & grow. While we appreciate you’re disappointed by the timing of the Show, we can assure you that the majority of sessions & opportunities will be available live if you have time and access and also on-demand, so we are hopeful you’ll still be able to benefit, even after your return. We are always interested to hear how we can better serve the industry & our members. If you’d like to discuss further, you can reach us at or (858) 616-6408.

thanks for making a virtual event, but after you canceled Nov 4-7, and I cancelled airline and hotel reservations to attend, I re-scheduled my group trip to Belize for Nov 14-21. I can't attend the virtual event so thank you for being so short-sighted and screwing some of your members.
